Breakfast….it’s the most important meal of the day, right?

Yes, it is…but let’s look at it a different way…
It’s WAY MORE IMPORTANT to choose the RIGHT food for breakfast than it is to actually EAT breakfast!

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU? You wake up…walk to the kitchen and pour yourself a bowl of cereal…the box says it’s made with 100% whole grains…it must be healthy! Add some skim milk…maybe have a glass of orange juice and a coffee (with skim milk and sweetener) and you feel as if you’ve made a nutritious choice to start your day!! Right??

WRONG! This morning meal is mostly sugar (cereal, skim milk, orange juice= SUGAR)…naturally occurring sugar, but SUGAR nonetheless. All CARBS break down into sugar once you digest them.

Why is this a HUGE PROBLEM??
